EMBREY Names Jimmy McCloskey Chief Development Officer; Announces Entry Into Atlanta Market

San Antonio, Texas-based EMBREY has named Jimmy McCloskey as Chief Development Officer.

McCloskey joined EMBREY in 2012 as Vice President of Development and served as Senior Vice President before being named Executive Vice President in 2017. In his previous roles he has managed EMBREY’s development pipeline in multiple markets, including Phoenix, Denver, San Antonio and Austin, participating in development of more than 10,500 multifamily units.

Before EMBREY, McCloskey was project manager for Colonial Properties Trust, Austin, where he managed all construction activities for the company’s capital improvement projects in the Western region. He has also worked as a senior project manager with Marriott International’s development/construction group in Bethesda, Maryland.

He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development, Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Utah Valley University.

In his new role, McCloskey will oversee all executive operations for the Development Division and serve as a member of the corporate Executive Leadership Team.

EMBREY also announced its expansion into the Atlanta market under the development leadership of Brad Knolle, Executive Vice President of Development. EMBREY currently operates in six markets – Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida.

Knolle joined EMBREY in 2012 as Senior Vice President of Development, was named Executive Vice President of Development in 2018. Before joining EMBREY, he was Director of Acquisitions for The NRP Group’s Texas office where he was in charge of land acquisitions for NRP’s affordable housing program.

Knolle holds a Master of Land Economics and Real Estate from Mays Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science from the Langford School of Architecture at Texas A&M University, College Station.
